KDA Dental Day

Dental Day began this morning with introductory remarks by President Glenn Hemberger. Dr. Hemberger spoke on the issues facing the KDA, including the rural access proposal the KDA Board of Delegates approved in Emporia on January 25th and an increase in Medicaid funding.
John Peterson of Capitol Strategies, KDA lobbyist, then outlined the nuts and bolts of the legislative process and the issues facing the Kansas Legislature, including the upcoming elections. Bill Brady, a former legislator, with Capitol Strategies, continued the discussion with an update on the budget currently before the legislature. Both John and Bill responded to questions.

About twenty KDA members are on hand for the annual event.
